The plot is devoted to the history of family rivalry between Elizabeth I (Margot Robbie) and Mary Stuart (saoirse Ronan) ‒ the last Catholic Queen of Scotland, who tried to overthrow his cousin from the English throne, but only condemned himself to years in prison, then presented before the execution.
